The Paris Mint will put into circulation in June, through the Banque de France, two-euro coins commemorating the 2024 Olympic Games, marked with an Eiffel Tower, the institution said this Friday.
These commemorative coins will be manufactured by the Paris Mint in a total of 24 million copies, of which more than 4 million have already been delivered to the Ministry of National Education.
Educational booklets, which include a commemorative 2 euro coin as part of the Olympic Games,
“are being sent to schools but have not yet been distributed, pending an official announcement”

In addition to official medals
The Paris Mint will market from June, alongside so-called

Furthermore, the Paris Mint will manufacture the medals which will be awarded to the Olympic athletes, based on the designs of the jeweler Chaumet (LVMH): an iron hexagon from the Eiffel Tower, and bearing the Paris-2024 logo, from which rays shaped in the metal of the medal (gold, silver or bronze) emanate.
