After Kate Middleton revealed that she had cancer and began undergoing chemotherapy treatments - King Charles, who himself was diagnosed with cancer last month, is showering his support: "So proud of her for her courage to speak the way she did," as announced this evening (Friday) in a statement on behalf of Buckingham Palace.
The palace reported that the king remained "in very close contact with his beloved daughter-in-law" - and this after the two were together in a hospital following their illness.
According to the palace statement, both Kate and Charles "will continue to offer their love and support to the entire royal family, even during this difficult time."
Middleton revealed that she was diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing a series of "preventative" chemotherapy treatments in a video published this evening, in which she is seen on a bench surrounded by vegetation.
The wife of the British heir to the throne, Prince William, said that the discovery was received as a "total shock" and that she and her husband "are doing everything they can to deal with and manage the situation privately."

"It took us a while to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis, in the way that suited them, and to assure them that I would be fine," she said about dealing with her three young children.
"As I told them, I get stronger every day by focusing on things that help me heal, in my mind, body and spirit."
"The fact that William is by my side is a great comfort and support. So are the expressions of love and support that many of you have shown me recently," Middleton addressed the general audience.
"It's so meaningful to us."
About a month ago, Buckingham Palace because King Charles was diagnosed with cancer.
The King was diagnosed during tests he underwent at the hospital after an enlarged prostate was discovered in his body and "regular treatments" began.
The 75-year-old Charles, who inherited the crown from his mother Elizabeth II in September 2022, will temporarily cease to fulfill his public duties, but will continue in his constitutional role as the King of Great Britain.
The palace said that he "remains positive about the treatment and expects to return to fulfilling his public duty as soon as possible."
Shortly after the disclosure, Charles published an official statement in which he asked to thank the general public for the recovery wishes he receives: "I want to express my gratitude from the bottom of my heart for the many messages of support I have received in recent days.
