Princess of Wales Kate Middleton revealed that she has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing a series of "preventive" chemotherapy treatments in a video published this evening (Friday), in which she is seen on a bench surrounded by vegetation.
The wife of the British heir to the throne, Prince William, said that the discovery was received as a "total shock" and that she and her husband "are doing everything they can to deal with and manage the situation privately."
"It took us a while to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis, in the way that suited them, and to assure them that I would be fine," she said about dealing with her three young children.
"As I told them, I get stronger every day by focusing on things that help me heal, in my mind, body and spirit."
"The fact that William is by my side is a great comfort and support. So are the expressions of love and support that many of you have shown me recently," Middleton addressed the general audience.
"It's so meaningful to us."

The mystery surrounding Middleton's medical condition has occupied the British kingdom in recent weeks - after the princess began to be absent from the vicinity of Buckingham Palace since undergoing surgery on her stomach earlier this year.
