The employees of the Arc-en-ciel residence, a retirement home in Bezons, returned to work this Friday, March 22, repeating over and over: “We won!
» Their union representatives signed an agreement ending the conflict the day before.
“After eighteen days of tumultuous strike and fierce negotiations, the staff have finally obtained their due,” welcomes the CGT.
“They were right to hold on.
They were supported by everyone,” underlines Yannick Visticot, representative of the families of the establishment.
A situation which is not new in the department: in April 2023, residents of Jardins d'Iroise, in Saint-Gratien, joined the social movement of caregivers.
In Bezons, their main demand related to the number of positions.
“The worse things went, the fewer staff we had.
They even went so far as to have only five employees left to take care of 55 residents,” indicates Sonia Ainouz, assistant secretary of the Departmental Health Union CGT 95 and former employee of this nursing home.
The establishment operated with five nursing assistants and five care assistants to manage five wards with 12 places, until the structure was purchased by the Mapad Holding group in 2020.
