A secret phone call between Volodymyr Zelenskyj and Emmanuel Macron becomes public.
The Ukrainian president implores his partner from Paris to do so.

At individual points in the conversation, Zelenskyj begs the Frenchman Macron to please intervene with Moscow's ruler Putin to stop the attack and suggest diplomatic negotiations mediated by France and the USA under President Joe Biden.

Confidant of Vladimir Putin: Dmitri Medvedev rails against France
Before Macron caused a stir at the end of February this year with his ground troop advance.
At a Ukraine aid conference of over 20 heads of state and government in Paris, Macron said on February 26 that there was no agreement on the use of ground troops: “But nothing can be ruled out in terms of dynamics.
