An unusual theft has been keeping the police station in Landsberg am Lech busy for a few days.
Unknown perpetrators have now stolen nine manhole covers in and around Geltendorf.
Geltendorf - The crime scenes have so far been along State Road 2054. The Landsberg road maintenance team has so far reported to the police that nine cast-iron manhole covers are missing.
According to a statement from the police station, their weight is considerable.
It is currently assumed that the perpetrators are offering these lids for sale from a scrap dealer.
If this is the case, you are asked to notify a police station.
The investigating police in Landsberg am Lech also receive information about the whereabouts of the lids and observations from witnesses to the thefts on the telephone number (0 81 91) 93 20.
