After a long life in the experimental laboratory, Basset is looking for a new, final home.

The animal shelter reports on the sad case of the unusual dog grandpa.

Hamburg – He had to endure for a long time, now he could finally go to a new and his last home.

The Basset dog is currently being adopted by the Franziskustierheim Hamburg.

The special thing: The beagle sat in an animal testing laboratory for 13 years.

As the animal rights activists write on social media, it is now time for his “final, comfortable sofa place”.

Basset was in the animal testing laboratory for 13 years: “He hasn’t gotten to know too much in his long life.”

One can only imagine what the beagle grandpa Basset has behind him.

The fact is: we are looking for a great new home for the special four-legged friend.

He has been in a foster home for a few weeks and is enjoying life there to the fullest, according to the animal shelter.

He especially seems to like the cuddles and the novelties that the big wide world has to offer.

“He hasn’t gotten to know too much in his long life,” the animal shelter admits in a description of Basset.

“Basset is very cuddly and would certainly reward future owners with lots of affection,” the animal lovers report.

In his new home he definitely deserved to be “really pampered and cuddled”.

His potential new home should be on the ground floor or at least accessible by elevator.

A new home is also being sought for Dario: the young dog was only ill for a short time.

This was reason enough for his short-term new owners to bring him back to the animal shelter.

“I wish Basset all the best” – great support for online placement

Basset's attempt at mediation received good feedback from Facebook users who gathered in the comment section of the post.

“I’m keeping my fingers crossed, sweetheart,” writes Elke H., for example. “I wish Basset all the best and a loving home!

When will the animal experiments finally stop?” asks Silke H. The employees at the animal shelter leave it open whether experiments were carried out on basset hounds.
