The hail-hit community of Benediktbeuern begins distributing money from its social fund.
What applicants need to consider.
Benediktbeuern – After the devastating hailstorm on August 26th, the community of Benediktbeuern set up a “Severe Weather Social Fund” in the community foundation.
So far, almost 84,300 euros have been received in donations, the community now announces and would like to thank all supporters again.
Now it's time to pay out, the municipality writes in a press release.
Requirements for payment from hail funds
After a legal review by the relevant municipal authorities, only affected private individuals can submit an application for payment under the following conditions:
Those affected are owners or tenants in the municipality of Benediktbeuern.
Those affected have found themselves in an emergency through no fault of their own and the additional expense cannot be completely remedied without the help of third parties, such as insurance.
A copy of your identity card, photos of the damage and confirmation of the information (usually insurance payment) are required as proof.
The deadline for submitting the withdrawal request is April 30, 2024.
Benediktbeuern: Support for hail victims
According to the current guidelines, a maximum funding of 3,000 euros can be achieved, writes the municipality.
The funding amount to be ultimately determined depends in particular on the number of funding applications.
A legal claim cannot be derived.

The funding application as well as the information sheet and data protection information can be downloaded from the website www.benediktbeuern.de and are also available in the town hall and in the tourist information during the respective opening times.
