For “Let's Dance” candidate Biyon Kattilathu, the Viennese waltz was a health challenge because he suffers from vertigo.
Cologne - On Friday, March 22, 2024, celebrities and professionals danced on “Let's Dance” for the fourth time this year.
It's nothing new that the sporting challenge doesn't always come without health problems, but the candidates usually suffer from injuries that they sustain on the dance floor.
The fact that dancing itself causes nausea, as it did for Biyon Kattilathu (39), was also a new experience for his dance partner Marta Arndt (34).
Rotary vertigo in Biyon Kattilathu: Viennese waltz on “Let's Dance” became a challenge
“I'm not that into turns,” explained the motivational speaker, who this week had to dance a Viennese waltz, which of all things has a lot of turns, in a clip on “Let's Dance”.
Biyon Kattilathu, who struggles with hostility online, has suffered from vertigo since his childhood.
As he reported, when he was 12 or 13 years old, this already had unpleasant consequences for a date partner who persuaded him to do a round of break dancing at the fair: “I pissed her off, in plain German.”
Now Kattilathu is afraid that something similar will happen to professional dancer Marta on television.
The situation was also a new experience for her, as she admitted: “I have never seen anyone get so sick.” She has been teaching for 15 years.
Before the dancing couple had to face the double challenge in the Italo Week show to the song “Ti Amo”, Kattilathu quickly crossed himself again and sent a quick prayer to heaven.
Nausea on “Let’s Dance”: Biyon Kattilathu and Marta Arndt had to tremble
At least partially successful: the feared mishap didn't happen and Kattilathu completed the entire choreography despite numerous rotations, but didn't seem particularly happy in places.
With their performance, the dancing couple was unable to match the previous week's performance.
While the jurors Motsi Mabuse (42) and Jorge González (56) each awarded five points, Joachim Llambi (59) was only able to get two points: “The footwork was a disaster.
Catastrophe!".
At the end of the show, Biyon and Marta ended up in third-to-last place with a total of 22 points.
Apparently the audience didn't call in that many, because the couple, along with Lina Larissa Strahl (26) and dance partner Zsolt Sándor Cseke (36), had to fight for a place in the fifth show.
Nevertheless, in the end it was just enough for Kattilathu and he can hope for a dance with fewer spins next week.
The “Let's Dance” stars Valentin and Renata Lusin have finally become parents.
