A nighttime excursion ends in tragedy: a teenager is thrown from an Ellenator and seriously injured.
Pentling - A 17-year-old youth suffered serious injuries when he was thrown from the skylight of a three-wheeled car known as an Ellenator in an accident.
Three other teenagers, ages 14 and 15, who were also in the vehicle suffered minor injuries, police announced on Saturday, March 23.
Accident with Ellenator – Four teenagers injured
Late on Friday evening, March 22nd, the car skidded and overturned near Pentling in the Regensburg district for reasons that are still unclear.
It then got stuck on a tree in the ditch.
All four injured people were transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Four young people were injured in an accident in Upper Palatinate - one of them seriously.

The police explained that an Ellenator can be driven from the age of 16 with an A1 driving license.
Despite its four wheels, this vehicle is classified as a three-wheeled light vehicle after modification.
The Ellenator is a car that has been converted in such a way that, despite its four wheels (the two rear ones are built close together), it is considered a three-wheeled vehicle - and this means, among other things, that it can be driven by young people aged 16 and over with an A1 driving license.
