Toasting the warm outdoor pool: After the last contract was awarded, the city council was in a champagne mood.

After decades of back and forth, the city of Miesbach is renovating its warm outdoor swimming pool and is thereby risking excessive indebtedness.
Nevertheless, the decision is right.

The collective minute of celebration with champagne shows the emotional significance of the fact that the outdoor swimming pool can now be renovated after 20 years of persuasion.
The price for this is high.
Because Miesbach is slipping further and further into over-indebtedness.
And yet: the decision to renovate the bathroom is the right one.

The pool had to stand aside for two decades and was made the most necessary repairs and kept in operation.
Now it's no longer possible - now it's logically its turn.
Although at a higher price, but also with the highest funding.
Looking at it soberly, it can be said that this will not make Miesbach insolvent.
But the city council to be elected in 2026 will also feel the pressure to save money when investing.
However, the committee is not incapable of acting.
The city council can now begin to develop new concepts for the city, which will be tackled when the financial situation allows it again.
Politics is not just about spending money, but - if not primarily - about developing constructive concepts for the future.
