Between 1995 and 2001, several young women disappeared near Perpignan station, in similar circumstances.
Two bodies, on which the murderer had attacked, were found.
The killer was caught years later, in 2018. Jacques Rançon, a cruel man with a long history as a sex offender, was sentenced to life in prison.

platform announced at the Séries Mania festival in Lille that it would take on this affair, and in particular the psychosis it had caused in the Catalan city, to make a series.

The victims of Jacques Rançon were called Marie-Hélène Gonzalez (22 years old), Mokhtaria Chaïb (19 years old).
There was another murder, that of Fatima Idrahou (23 years old), killed by Marc Delpech.
And a disappearance, that of Tatiana Andujar (17 years old), on which light has still not been shed.
A center dedicated to cold cases of the Judicial Police has also relaunched the investigation at the end of 2022, twenty-eight years after the events.
Entitled
The Missing from the Station
, the six-episode thriller is planned for 2025. It will feature Camille Razat (
Emily in Paris
), Hugo Becker (
The Plague
), Patrick Timsit and Mélanie Doutey.
The screenplay by Gaëlle Bellan, who worked on the writing of the series

, takes as the main character an investigator.
