The hunt for the terrorist who carried out the shooting attack in Binyamin/Dovorat Binyamin

Hours after the shooting attack in Binyamin, during which a terrorist opened fire on a minibus and injured six people - two suspects were caught last night (Friday) in the Petzal settlement armed with Kalashnikov rifles.

According to the security establishment, they were arrested without resistance and taken for questioning.

The terrorist who carried out the attack, 32-year-old Majhad Mansour, was killed by IDF forces, who engaged in a prolonged exchange of fire with him at the end of a 5-hour manhunt. He is a former Fatah prisoner, and in 2013 resigned from the Presidential Guard.

Since then he worked as a sequencer, and was married with children.

This morning, the IDF surveyed his home in southern Samaria - in preparation for its demolition. Following the

attack, the Beilinson Hospital reported that 3 wounded were evacuated to the hospital's trauma room, and the condition of one of the wounded is described as serious. The others are in moderate to light condition. They were brought to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer Three wounded from the attack are in stable condition.

IDF forces used heavy machine gun fire, and the terrorist managed to escape.

He then hid in the undergrowth by the road, believed to be acting alone.

A combat helicopter fired two precision missiles at the terrorist, and now the settlements of Dolev and Talmonim, which are close to the scene of the attack, were closed for many hours and the exit of residents was restricted for fear of damage to the main roads.

Two suspects were caught with a Kalashnikov in the Jordan Valley.

A combat helicopter was flown to the scene, when many forces arrived and special measures were used to capture him as soon as possible.

IOS Division Commander Lieutenant Colonel Yaki Dolf and Ephraim Brigadier General Nathaniel Shamka conducted the searches for the terrorist.

Several air craft took to the air to scan and attack, along with many forces.

The minibus shuttle driver wrote after the shooting at a group of Dolev residents: "They shot at me this morning, a great miracle. Damage to the car caused a water leak and they blew out my window."

The head of the Binyamin Council, Israel Gantz, said at the scene that "there is still a shootout with the terrorists here. Since the beginning of the war, we have been warning about this very place. Also to increase security and especially to mount an overwhelming attack against the villages in the area. There is no difference between Gaza and here. We need to attack the terrorists inside their towns and villages. The military and civilian security forces here are fighting shoulder to shoulder."

Residents of Binyamin reveal that at the Horseshoe intersection, where the attack took place, there have been repeated stone throws in recent weeks, almost every day.

The residents claim that they warned repeatedly and protested the army's lack of response.

The Binyamin Residents' House Guards Forum stated: "Unfortunately, there was not a sufficient response from the army. It is impossible that they will not be able to achieve security in a short section of road in an area of full Israeli security control."

They also added in the forum: "It is impossible in Ramadan that they are trying to open roads to the Arabs and endanger us, in order to preserve their routine of life, not blocking the entrances to the villages and allowing them freedom of movement, the results of which we saw this morning."
