An argument degenerated into tragedy.
This is the hypothesis that took shape in the hours following the discovery of the body of a man in viaFortebraccio, close to the historic center of L'Aquila.
The victim is Teodoro Ullasci, a 59-year-old of Sardinian origin, but resident for some time at Progetto Case di Tempera, one of the anti-seismic neighborhoods created since 2009 on the outskirts of the capital.
Yesterday afternoon he was apparently approached by two or three people, perhaps for the purpose of robbery.
This is, obviously, only one of the investigators' hypotheses, supported by the fact that the man had no phone or wallet with him.
The causes of death are uncertain and could also be the result of a fall to the ground.
Some passers-by provided first aid, alerting the emergency services and the police.
The intervention of 118 was immediate, but there was already nothing that could be done for the man.
Also on site was the police commissioner of L'Aquila, Enrico De Simone, together with the Flying Squad and the Flying Squad.
