“Our goal in the coming weeks is to find a long-term and stable solution together with the project partners and creditors that will enable these very special forms of housing to continue to exist,” lawyer Hendrik Wolfer is quoted as saying in a press release from the cooperative.

He is the general representative of the Maro and is supposed to support the “restructuring” of the cooperative – the Maro itself speaks of a “restructuring” in the communication.

The Maro currently has 2,100 comrades, mainly in the greater Munich area.

She has realized several residential projects in Upper Bavaria.

In the northern district, multi-generational living and dementia shared apartments in Dietramszell and the said large project with 24 apartments and two office spaces in Loisachstadt.

Regardless of the insolvency proceedings, the projects in the region should continue: business operations will remain unchanged and the existing residential projects will also continue unchanged, the Maro cooperative explained to our newspaper.
