The former boss of the “Altwirt” in Wackersberg dies at the age of 84.
His greatest joy were his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Wackersberg – Last Saturday, Konrad Goldner (84) celebrated his wife Kathi’s birthday with his family in a relaxed atmosphere.
He was satisfied with a piece of cake followed by a wheat beer, but suddenly didn't feel well anymore.
Konrad Goldner was accompanied to his apartment, where he died a short time later.
The family celebration was at the “Altwirt”, the inn that the Goldners took over as innkeepers in 1972.

Born on May 2, 1939, Konrad Goldner grew up in Kleinpienzenau (Miesbach district) at the “Lehnerhof”, between the church and the inn.
“A time that he remembered very fondly and talked a lot about,” reports daughter Regina Fast.
Goldner also met his Kathi at the local innkeeper and their wedding was celebrated in 1969.
In the same year Regina was born and the step towards independence was taken.
Kathi and Konrad became innkeepers at Café Stocker in Wegscheid.
Konrad often talked about the Wegscheider years in which lifelong friendships were formed.
In 1972, daughter Rosmarie was born and the company took over the “Altwirt” in Wackersberg.
In 1977 the third daughter Veronika and son Konrad Jr. were born.

The Isarwinkel with the “Altwirt” was home for Konrad Goldner from the start.
The years were filled with a lot of work, but also beautiful and fun times.
In 2011, Konrad and Kathi handed the restaurant over to their son, who now runs the “Altwirt” with his wife Katharina.

He valued his daughter-in-law very much and was happy that his life's work would be continued within the family.
In addition to gastronomy, the deceased's passion was coldblood breeding.
The birth of a foal in the “Altwirt” stable was always something special for him.

Konrad was a joyful co-founder of the Wackersberger Leonhardiritt and looked forward to it every year.
As an enthusiastic teamster, Goldner had the honor of driving, among others, the then Federal President Richard von Weizsäcker as well as participants with a horse and team in a motif car of the Wackersberg Mountain Riflemen at the Oktoberfest.
His greatest joy were his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
On February 10th of this year, Konrad Goldner was able to celebrate his 55th wedding anniversary with his Kathi and the family.
They spent 56 years of their lives together.

The requiem followed by the funeral will take place on Saturday, March 23rd at 10 a.m. in Wackersberg.
