A craftsman from the Freising district appears to have done poor or no work at all for a couple in Ottobrunn, despite his obligation.

Now a second couple has come forward about the matter.

Ottobrunn/Garching

– Apparently the craftsman from the Freising district, who had already cheated a family in Ottobrunn, also applied the same botched principle to another family.

As reported, the couple Kerstin and Alfred D. (both 33 years old) from Ottobrunn came across the tradesman in question via an internet platform, who wanted to do everything on their own and eliminate the consequences of a burst water pipe in their newly purchased house.

But as it turns out, he didn't finish the work.

Temporary accommodation with relatives

“That’s our story that was told there,” says Martina Sch.

(29) from Neufahrn near Freising, who is currently living with her husband (36) and her son (2) temporarily with relatives in Garching.

When she reads the newspaper article, she feels deja vu and contacts the Münchner Merkur in order to be able to make contact with the affected family and to team up with them so that they can take legal action together.

With the couple Sch.

The same craftsman, whose exact name cannot be mentioned here, contacted us in mid-2023.

We were looking for professionals to renovate the house.

The plan was for the family to be able to move into the finished attic in December 2023.

The man also came straight away and inspected the building.

The couple became a bit skeptical because the construction site was quite a challenge for one person.

But the craftsman credibly gave personal reasons why he carried out such extensive work alone.

Disassembly still worked well

He actually came to the construction site and started dismantling it.

He also apparently correctly determined that the pipes needed to be replaced.

“But the pipes he then used are far too big.

They don't fit each other.

It’s a complete botch,” says Martina Sch..

Lawyer has been informed

The couple is now forced to have everything torn out and reinstalled.

A lawyer has already been informed and took legal responsibility for the matter in December.

Here too, an official termination has taken place, so that the money can now be claimed back.

The work involved installing heating and water, which subsequent trades have now taken over.

The new craftsmen first calculated the heating load, something their predecessor had apparently neglected to do and had installed underfloor heating at random.

A gas heater is installed in the house and can continue to run.
