Psychological terror: Hamas announced this evening (Saturday) that the abducted Yagav Buchstab died in captivity in Gaza due to "starvation and lack of medicine".
Buchstab's wife, Rimon Buchstab-Kirsht, who was kidnapped along with him, was released at the end of November from captivity in Gaza.
Yagav is the eldest son in his family, 35 years old. We recently celebrated his birthday in captivity.
"He is a humble and introverted person, self-taught, loves to learn - only what interests him," his mother said in an interview with Walla!.
"He knew how to move. At the age of 13 at the bar mitzvah we wrote to him that he added a lot of words to our family lexicon, words we didn't know before and he keeps adding more and more to the family dictionary. He loves animals very much, you can see it in the pictures as well. He is a musician, from a young age he discovered the music - he played the guitar, the flute, the cello. He builds musical instruments with his younger brother Yuval. He and Ramon met through music and suddenly their love was ignited after many years of contact. Three years ago they got married. He is a person who really has a lot of sensitivity High. He's my son, I don't think mothers tell the real story about their children, but their own story."

His mother also said in an interview with "Shlev Shalu" at the Walla! studio: "I make myself tired so that I fall asleep at least part of the night.
Every night before I go to sleep I know what I'm doing the next day and that's what gets me up.
Does not leave windows and empty places.
I have tasks for every day and I don't release myself from an organized task.
It keeps me going and gives me the strength to continue the day."
