Putin has already threatened the West with a nuclear strike several times.
Now the deputy speaker of the Duma specifically targeted one country.
Moscow – Threats against Western states are not uncommon on Russian television.
With sentences like: “We will take Berlin again, and this time we will not leave,” or Russia will “turn the whole world into ashes,” Putin's propagandists have repeatedly tried to spread fear and terror in the West and the Russian one influencing the population.
A targeted verbal blow now went from Moscow to France.
State Duma Deputy Speaker Pyotr Tolstoy made threats against France in an interview with French channel
BFMTV
.
In the interview, Tolstoy said that Russia was considering the possibility of a nuclear attack on Paris.
Tolstoy studied in France.
In French, he said the Kremlin was "calculating" that a nuclear bomb fired from Russia could reach Paris in "just over two minutes."
The threat was in response to the reporter's reference to an infographic broadcast on Russian television in 2022 that showed how quickly a rocket from Moscow could reach London, Paris and Berlin.
Threatening to “kill all French soldiers” stationed in Ukraine
French President Emmanuel Macron had not ruled out sending ground troops to Ukraine at an aid conference in Paris in February 2024.
Macron reiterated this last week.
Vladimir Putin's henchman also responded to this in an interview with
BFMTV
and threatened to "kill all French soldiers" who were stationed in Ukraine.
The Russian news agency
Tass
reported that the director of the foreign intelligence service of the Russian Federation, Sergei Naryshkin, spoke on Tuesday (March 19) that France was already preparing a military contingent to send to Ukraine.
Naryshkin also claimed to the Russian and pro-state news agency
RIA Novosti
that French troops were allegedly already involved in Ukraine.

Macron's announcement of ground troops causes excitement in the Kremlin
According to reports in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung
, the General Staff of the French Army confirmed
that the troops were ready.
“France is capable of deploying a division, that is, about 20,000 men, in a coalition within 30 days,” wrote General Pierre Schill in an article for the newspaper
Le Monde
.
A scenario that, in view of Russian threats, is causing unrest not only among France's western allies, but also in the Kremlin.
