Mayor Stefan Korpan says that we are already seeing positive effects from the state horticultural show: An investor wants to build a hotel in Penzberg.
Penzberg - If only it weren't for the budget... At a press conference, Penzberg's mayor Stefan Korpan (CSU) informed about the status of the state horticultural show.
He made his opinion clear: if you “exclude the financial aspect,” everything speaks in favor of the show.
Korpan considers the project to be “incredibly sustainable”.
You can already tell that the show hasn't been decided yet: an interested party has approached the city who wants to build a hotel in Penzberg.
He already had a piece of land in mind.

In order to make the final decision easier for the city council, two mayors would share their experiences and the long-term effects of their state horticultural show with the committee.
The follow-up costs are also kept in mind, for example with an additional employee at the construction yard who would have to take care of the systems.
The financial decision is not something you take lightly.
“We have always calculated conservatively,” assures Mayor Korpan.
And the city has nothing “well calculated”.
The city will not spend more than the calculated eight million euros.
