Students on the streets 'hunting' for ideas and proposals to submit to the mayor to improve waste management: the protagonists of the initiative are the 3D dental technician students of the 'Alessandrini' institute who, dressed in the role of journalists, cameramen and ecological operators, have traveled the streets and squares of Teramo to interview citizens and, where necessary, also collect small abandoned waste.

The children then developed a document with suggestions and proposals to be delivered to the first citizen.

The educational outing is an integral part of the 'At the Zero Waste School' project promoted by the 'Rifiuti ZeroAbruzzo' association - as part of the 2024 edition of 'Scuola eVolontariato' of the CSV Abruzzo - with the aim of informing students about volunteering activities and to spread eco-sustainability issues in schools.

The boys, accompanied by the president of the association Luciana Del Grande and the teacher Antonella Censoni, once arrived at the River Park, after having interviewed some citizens, met a volunteer from the Tutela AnimaliInvisibili (Tai) who highlighted the need to build green bridges to allow the animals to cross motorways, tracks and any other road that could represent an often lethal barrier.

After having witnessed an anti-war performance by the Liceo Coreutico dance troupe in Piazza Martiri and having addressed the issue of the lack of spaces dedicated to art, the boys met the municipal councilor for culture, Antonio Filipponi: "on the topic of waste - he said - the Municipality is fully committed to achieving optimal management, also thanks to the collaboration of citizens".

Once back at school, the students identified various points for reflection on the critical issues and sustainable choices to put into practice at school and in everyday life, to be submitted to the mayor Gianguido D'Alberto.

The children were given a steel water bottle by the 'Zero Waste Abruzzo' association to combat the consumption of water in plastic bottles at school and in daily life.
