A total of 16 inmates have died
and 22 were injured in a fight that occurred in the prison of the Men's Regional Center for Social Reintegration (Cerereso) of Cieneguillas, in the state of Zacatecas, in central Mexico.

Around 5:00 p.m. the fight was under control, but 15 people had lost their lives and 23 more were taken to a health center.
One of them later died.
The State Preventive, Metropolitan (Metropol), Investigation and State Road Safety police were immediately mobilized to reinforce the containment strategy.
