This Saturday marks the return of degraded weather, with a significant drop in temperatures in the northern half of the country.
The change in weather is brutal, the return of cold is accompanied by unstable weather, announces
La Chaîne Météo*.
In the morning, a disturbance will finish crossing the east and south of the country.
Snow will fall in the mountains from 1000 m on average.
In the afternoon, the disturbance will evacuate from the East and a trailing sky will dominate over three quarters of the country, including clearings as cloudy periods, or even showers.
Precipitation will appear in the form of hail or sleet in the North-East: real March showers.
Showers will be rare near the ocean coast, closest to the anticyclone.
In the South-East, and more precisely in the regions bordering the Mediterranean Sea, the atmosphere remains spring-like and very mild.
Please note that the mistral and tramontane will blow up to 80 km/h in gusts.
The weather in your area
In the
North-East
quarter , expect unsettled weather with showers, wind and cold weather throughout the day.
Temperatures are falling.
Near the
Atlantic coast
, the weather is drier with cloudy periods, but also clearings.
There too, temperatures are dropping, with a noticeable wind going from the West to the North-West, blowing up to 65 km/h towards the Breton coasts.
From the
center-east
to the
Mediterranean
and Corsica
,
spring continues with generous sunshine throughout the day.
This is due to the mistral and the tramontane which blow well in the morning, up to 80 km/h towards the coast.
Temperatures are falling in the center-east, but remain high around the Gulf of Lion with temperatures exceeding 20°C.
Further trend
On Sunday, conditions will remain unstable in the North, even if the showers will tend to calm down, while shifting towards the eastern limits.
The improvement will continue on the western facade while the South-East will maintain pleasant conditions.
We will have to take advantage of it, because at the start of next week, the weather will be choppy around the big blue, and frost will rear its ugly head.
