For this weekend (March 23rd and 24th) the German Weather Service has issued official warnings of wind and gusts of wind.
Some of these are valid until Monday morning.
Munich - Bavaria should prepare for a turbulent weekend - because it will be windy in the Free State!
The German Weather Service issued an official warning of gusts of wind for all of Bavaria on Saturday (March 23rd).
In some parts of Bavaria there will even be severe squalls with speeds between 85 km/h and 100 km/h this weekend (March 23rd and 24th).
The German Weather Service warns that hurricane-like gusts of up to 115 km/h must be expected in exposed locations.

DWD warns of falling trees and falling objects
It will be windy in Munich and the surrounding area, Passau, Bad Reichenhall, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bad Tölz, Rosenheim and Landsberg, among others.
The warning initially applies from Saturday (March 23rd) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The warning applies around Deggendorf, Straubing and Regen until Saturday evening (March 23rd) at 8 p.m.
Severe squalls to hurricane-like gusts can occur around Miesbach, Traunstein and Bad Reichenhall, according to the DWD.
This warning applies for the entire weekend until 6 a.m. Monday morning (March 25).
The German Weather Service warns that there is a danger from isolated falling trees and falling objects.
