In a twist in the case for Pilar's country crime,

the maid at the house where Roberto Wolfenson (71) was murdered was arrested

as the main accused of the homicide.

During their search of her home, investigators found an incriminating element.

This is

Rosalía Soledad Paniagua

, who had started working for the electronic engineer just over a month before the homicide.

The woman was arrested this Friday at the last minute in her house by the DDI of Pilar, in a raid where a Bluetooth speaker was found, which was recognized by the victim's widow as her own, so the motive for the crime would have been that of robbery.

Sources in the case revealed to

Clarín

that yesterday data had been known about the last connection of Wolfenson's cell phone, which coincided with that of the domestic employee at the Derqui station.

Wolfenson died of asphyxiation between February 22 and 23 in his house in the country La Delfina, in Derqui, Pilar.

He was lying in a pool of blood and his hands had defensive injuries, as well as hair and bruises on his face that showed a "clear crime scene."

His murderer used a cable, a rope or a fine thread to hang him and he defended himself until the last minute.

All this description comes from the investigators and those who had access to the file.

Also from the first police officers who arrived at the scene and collected samples following the protocol for a homicide.

But there were two people who - strikingly - did not see a crime there.

There were two doctors who arrived at lot 397 of La Delfina, a country in Derqui, at kilometer 50 of the Pilar branch of the Panamericana.

The first was an ambulance from the emergency service hired by the neighborhood administration and which corresponds to the Vital company.

The second was Dr. Marcelo Rodrigué, a police officer with the Forensic Medical Corps with more than 30 years in Buenos Aires.

He dedicates himself almost exclusively to viewing crime scenes.

He arrived, examined Wolfenson in the middle of a pool of blood, raised his head and said: “He died of a heart attack.”

The error lasted 12 hours.

For investigators, "valuable time" and even evidence was lost because they cleaned the scene.

The prosecutor's office in charge of the investigation referred the proceedings so that the Attorney General's Office could initiate a case to determine whether he incurred public action crimes or, if applicable, a cover-up.

Surprisingly, he was not the only one to give that first diagnosis.

Sources with access to the file told Clarín that the doctor who arrived with the Vital ambulance also considered that Wolfenson had died of natural causes: more precisely, a heart attack.

Furthermore, surprisingly, he listed medical history that was recorded in the report in which he left this record.

It is not clear how he knew that background, but no one could ask him.

Prosecutor Germán Camafreitas requested information about this doctor from the company to summon him to testify, but he did not find him.

"What he signs is the confirmation of death," they explained to Clarín.

With that paper they could, for example, send for a funeral home to remove the body without an autopsy.

It was the quick action of the DDI and the prosecutor on duty, Andrés Quintana, who requested expertise to rule out the doubts.

Wolfenson had lived with his partner for 18 years

.

Graciela Orlandi, retired, 70 years old, was not at her house on the day of the crime.

She had slept, as she stated, at her daughter's house, in Villa Devoto.

The victim had two children.

Esteban (35) and Laura (38), with whom she had not had a relationship for three years.
