“They ruined my whole life,” sobbed the young girl.
In October 2020, then aged 13, she was raped with a friend of the same age by men in a cellar in Sarcelles (Val-d'Oise).
The Pontoise Juvenile Assize Court on Friday March 22 sentenced seven defendants, who were then aged 17 to 29, to sentences of four years to eight years in prison.
An eighth man, prosecuted for complicity in the rape of a minor, was acquitted.
The aggravating circumstance of gang rape was not considered.
“It’s a relief to say that it’s over but I think that some would have deserved to take more,” confided Alice’s mother after the verdict.
What they did to my daughter cannot be undone.
They stole part of his life, his privacy.
» The sentences handed down are lower than those requested by the attorney general.
Considering that the two teenagers had undergone "training" with the aim of subsequently prostituting them, the prosecutor requested sentences of five to eighteen years' imprisonment.
