One hundred and fifty residents of Val-de-Marne over the age of 60 have discovered the benefits of taiso for free since last November in Charenton-le-Pont, Champigny-sur-Marne, Vitry-sur-Seine, Fontenay-sous-Bois and Maisons- Alfort.

Twenty-one sessions and two conferences are offered in each city, supported by the conference of funders for the prevention of loss of autonomy of the departmental council.

The project, entitled “Let's fight falls with martial arts and the art of words”, is organized by Saparman, specialist in health sports for seniors.

That Thursday afternoon, seven seniors in tracksuits conscientiously moved around the Maisons-Alfort dojo.

“Heels on buttocks, remember to breathe,” announces Antoine Bidault, the teacher, at the start of this thirteenth beginner level session.
