There were four days in which healthcare, applied technologies and artificial intelligence were widely discussed.

The curtain fell today on the first edition of the 'World Health Forum' in Padua, an event during which hundreds of speakers - including researchers, scientists and 'gotha' of the sector - fueled the debate on the present and future of innovations in the field of medicine.

An event also open to the public, which saw over 3000 participants in four days of debate, more than 100 speakers including researchers, academics and experts representing 35 universities and research centers and more than 20 companies in the pharmaceutical sector.

Numbers that tell the success of the first edition of the World Health Forum Veneto, held between the Palazzo della Ragione and the Padova Congress in Fiera.

Keynote speaker of the day was the former ESA astronaut Paolo Nespoli, who spoke on the correlation between well-being and space: "The health of the person in the absence of gravity changes - he said - because there are different conditions compared to Earth. And this situation is very useful for studying some details about people's health that are normally not seen, but are truly measurable in space and then manageable on Earth."

Also speaking at the conference center in the city of Santoro were the general director of the National Cybersecurity Agency, Bruno Frattasi, who took stock of cyber security as a strategic lever also in the healthcare sector, and the Ukrainian Minister of Health, Viktor Liashko , who, via video link, recalled the importance of innovating.

"Today's times - said Liashko - require us to be ready to implement new solutions" and in particular "one of the challenges for Ukraine on a healthcare level is to guarantee the transition of our military service veterans mutilated during the war to life civil".

According to the minister, "the development of organic models for rehabilitation are fundamental to the successful integration of our heroes into our society".

It was Manuela Lanzarin, Veneto's health councilor, who pulled the strings of the first edition of the forum: "As far as we are concerned - she explained - it was a starting point for a great moment of discussion and debate on all-round healthcare degrees".

Recalling the main focus of the four days, "artificial intelligence and its application within healthcare systems", Lanzarin then explained that AI "can contribute to finding solutions to the very particular and difficult moment that the national and international health system".
