Greetings like this are becoming more common at Wartenberg School.

Wartenberg's mayor Christian Pröbst (CSU) is pulling the ripcord and is now moving towards video surveillance of the school grounds.
Until now, he had also been critical of this for data protection reasons.
But the damage caused by vandalism has recently increased.
Wartenberg – Pröbst reported that he and the administration were in the process of creating the formal legal basis.
These are primarily a whole lot of forms.
“Where are we allowed and where not?” This is just one of the many questions that the administration is struggling through.
It must also be clarified exactly at what times the monitoring takes place.
The approval authorities, said the chairman of the school association, wanted a list of the damage caused by vandalism.
Fortunately, they were able to present these in detail to demonstrate the need.
Headmaster Michael Braun commented on what was happening at the school as “a shame and stupid”.
People were also repeatedly found climbing onto the roof.
The outside fire escapes are properly secured and the parapets and railings are high enough.
“If you want to go to the roof, you can get up there,” says Braun.
For Pröbst, this is an intolerable situation, especially since no one has control over what would happen if, for example, someone broke through the Plexiglas light domes and then fell.
There was no criticism from the association members of the plans for video surveillance.
