Which car brands are popular in the Freising district?

Freising district
- It takes a fair amount of luck to come across a Bugatti with a Freising license plate on the street: There is currently exactly one copy of the hyper sports car brand, whose vehicles are worth millions for, that is currently registered in the district.
If you look for a luxurious Rolls-Royce there, your chances are quadrupled.
At least 16 and 44 units are registered from Lamborghini and Ferrari.
At Porsche, with 867 registered vehicles, the number is almost in the four-digit range.
The car brand that you come across most often in the Freising region is by far VW: well over 22,000 Volkswagens currently have a valid FS license plate.
Second-place BMW still has just under 18,000 units.

This is unique nationwide
All of this data comes from the two vehicle registration authorities in Freising and Moosburg (as of February 1, 2024).
The fact that the Dreirosenstadt is also a municipality – and not just the district itself – allows vehicles is unique in the entire Federal Republic.
This special circumstance can be attributed to the efforts of Moosburg's former mayor Anton Neumaier, who won authority for his city in 1999.
When the admissions office moved from the Moosburg town hall to the Neustadt-Sparkasse building last summer, the company's long-term independence was once again underlined.
Gentle growth in electric vehicles - 522 Teslas registered
In addition to the brand rankings, the statistics provide numerous other insightful insights.
For example, what the status of electromobility is in the district.
Of the 30,228 registrations documented in the previous year (2022: 30,676), 2,136 had the E suffix on the license plate.
1,596 of them were pure electric vehicles, the rest were plug-in hybrid vehicles.
Due to a change in procedures in the Moosburg authorities, no previous year's values could be determined for the registration numbers in this category, which would be elementary for a statement about the change.
At least the figures from the Freising authorities show a gentle trend towards more E-licence plates.

If you look at the entire vehicle population at the beginning of February, of the 166,488 (2022: 164,066) vehicles, 5,499 were on the road with an E license plate - a year earlier there were 4,197 vehicles.
There are currently 522 Teslas on the road in the region.

More classic cars on the road - number of company vehicles
If you put the number of total vehicles in relation to the population of the district (around 185,000), theoretically almost every resident, from infants to senior citizens, has their own mobile device.
When it comes to the age of the fleet, it can be said that a good 55,000 vehicles are already more than ten years old.
There are currently 2,334 classic cars on the road with an H license plate.
Last year there were 2,184. Of all the vehicles registered, 43 were from the Trabant manufacturer Sachsenring.
And what about the company car quota in the district?
The statistics also provide information on this: Of all the registrations in 2023, 5,066 were for legal entities - 813 of which were issued with an E-plate.
