In July 2023, more than 57% had obtained one.
But among the three possible awards, the one that is obviously the most envied is the “very good” rating, awarded to high school graduates whose average is above 16/20.
Every year, since 1997, the rate of obtaining this precious pass has continued to soar, going from 1% 25 years ago to 14.1% in the general baccalaureate last summer.
Although this mention is less and less rare, it nonetheless remains a marker of excellence, highly appreciated by higher education establishments, especially the most selective.
Even if it does not weigh in the balance of Parcoursup admissions, which are already revealed from May 30, more than a month before the baccalaureate results.
