In the midst of the social tension that is worsening due to the economic crisis, President
Javier Milei
and Vice President
Victoria Villarruel
reignited the controversy this Saturday by supporting on their social networks a mobilization whose main motto was the demand for the
repeal of the voluntary termination of pregnancy law
.
"Abortion is
a murder aggravated by the bond
and the disproportion of forces," Milei wrote on the social network X.
The president redoubled the bet and added: "If you are seeing this post and are one of those who positively consider this type of aberrations, thank your mother for not thinking the same way."
Milei shared an image that Villarruel had posted minutes before, in which he shows that until January of this year there were 245,000 registered abortions.
And she added that it is equivalent to "more than the total inhabitants of the Province of Tierra del Fuego (190,641)."
The head of the Senate did not provide details as to whether the count began with the promulgation of Law 27,610, on January 14, 2021, nor did she provide sources for the numbers she released.

"Ending the life of a defenseless human being is not a right. Argentina must always be a land of Life," Villarruel wrote when accompanying the initiative of the "March for Life Argentina" collective.
Along the same lines, he insisted that "this is not the way."
The march against the abortion law took place in different cities of the country but the most important was in Plaza Italia, in Palermo.
The national government had already established its anti-abortion position by decree naming 2024 as the "Year of the Defense of Life, Liberty and Property."

Earlier this Saturday, Villarruel had published videos on his Instagram account calling for the call in Plaza Italia.
"Today we march and ask for the Repeal of Abortion Now," said one of his stories, in which protesters were seen with light blue flags with the inscription "Save both lives."
Milei against abortion and "the murderers of the green scarves"
The President spoke out against abortion on several occasions.
The last time he had done so publicly was in his speech to a group of students at the school where he studied.
Milei was talking about "future generations that were not even born" when he launched: "Some try to kill, they are the murderers with green scarves."

Along the same lines, he continued with the same phrase that he posted this Saturday in X: "I warn that for me abortion is a murder aggravated by the bond."
"I can demonstrate that from a mathematical, philosophical perspective, from liberalism," he insisted on that occasion, in the auditorium of the Cardenal Copello school.
