The Loire departmental fire and rescue service (SDIS) deployed a Samu team.

Emergency services treated the child in a state of hypothermia, without his life being in danger.

He was transported to the Saint-Étienne university hospital center, where he was still hospitalized this Sunday morning.

According to the first elements of the police investigation, the mother, a young woman of 20 years old, would have denied pregnancy.

She would have given birth alone in her bathroom, before abandoning her child in this corridor.

The mother, taken to hospital, was placed in police custody.

She will be heard as soon as her health permits.
