Three men detonated a grenade outside a police station in Yerevan, capital of Armenia, on Sunday in an attempt to take control of the building, according to the Interior Ministry.
“At 5:00 p.m. (1:00 p.m. GMT), three armed men tried to burst into the police station in the Nor-Nork district and detonated a hand grenade
,” the ministry said, without specifying their motives.
“Two of them were injured by the grenade explosion and were hospitalized. An armed man is still in front of the police station
,” according to the government.
An AFP journalist at the scene saw a man holding a grenade at the entrance to the building, who was shouting and threatening to detonate it.
This man was then disarmed and arrested, Interior Ministry spokesperson Narek Sargsyan told AFP.

“and it was impossible to understand what he was asking
,” added Narek Sargsyan, specifying that no police officer had been injured.
