Helmstadt – At the start of the Easter holidays in Bavaria, a serious traffic accident kept emergency services on tenterhooks.
On Sunday afternoon (March 24th) there was a mass collision with several accident sites on the A3 in the direction of Würzburg near Helmstadt.

According to initial information from the

agency , there were over 20 people injured and one fatality.
An accident occurred on the front part of the highway involving several cars.
There was then a chain reaction to the rear, in which vehicles either crashed into each other or were able to avoid each other.
A car caught fire and was completely burned out.
According to News5, three helicopters were also in use.
According to on-site information from a reporter, the entire accident site extended over more than 500 meters.
The motorway was initially completely closed in the direction of Würzburg.
