When solving a question, “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” moderator Günther Jauch makes a mistake that he only notices later.

His mistake divides opinion online.

Hürth – The RTL quiz show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” with Günther Jauch (67) has been on the air for almost 25 years and is very popular.

One of the reasons is the open and likeable nature of the showmaster, who also manages to slip up from time to time.

In the current episode (March 18), the WWM presenter makes a mistake - online RTL viewers react to his faux pas with mixed feelings.

“Why doesn’t anyone tell me that?”: Günther Jauch incorrectly resolves the “Who wants to be a millionaire?” question

Even on large, established shows like “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” errors occur – sometimes on the part of the production and sometimes on the part of the presenter.

This time it is Günther Jauch who has a mishap.

In order to land on the highly coveted quiz chair, the WWM candidates have to assign several names to a given person in a selection question - all correctly grouped names form a complete music band.

The 67-year-old presenter solves the problem: Sandy, Nadja and Jessy belong to Lucy - but the band he assigns to the women is incorrect.

Günther Jauch claims that the four singers are members of the former girl group Tic Tac Toe - but in reality they are the No Angels.

At first, the WWM moderator doesn't notice his faux pas and invites candidate Inga Langer to the council chair.

It was only after the 100 euro question that Günther Jauch suddenly dropped the penny.

“What nonsense did I just say in the selection question?

So I said, here: Sandy, Nadja, Jessica and Lucy, they would be Tic Tac Toe, which is stupid, there are three Tic Tac Toe," said the 67-year-old to his candidate.

The pharmaceutical representative laughs and replies: “It was the No Angels.”

Of course, Günther Jauch agrees, turns to the audience and asks: “Why doesn’t anyone tell me that?”

He realizes his mistake and asks for leniency.

“Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” not only a hit in Germany – TV show with numerous spin-offs

“Well, Tic Tac Toe weren’t angels after all.

That’s fine,” said another WWM viewer.

But the presenter deals with his mistake in a relaxed manner: In almost 25 years, the RTL face has learned to deal with such mistakes.

Just recently, Günther Jauch solved a “Who wants to be a millionaire?” question – without the candidate providing an answer.
