Essayist Malika Sorel-Sutter announced this Sunday in an interview with Le Figaro that she will appear on the list of the National Rally for the European elections next June.
“A few years ago, I noted the French decomposition.
Today, by supporting Marine Le Pen, by being number 2 on the list led by Jordan Bardella, I wish to participate in the French recomposition,” she explains in the columns of the daily.
The essayist, author in particular of “French Decomposition”, published in 2015, was appointed by Nicolas Sarkozy, then President of the Republic, as a member of the High Council for Integration in 2009 and this, until the dissolution of the council in 2012. In 2017, she notably supported François Fillon.
“I was traumatized by the undemocratic conditions in which François Fillon was eliminated in 2017,” she explains, adding: “Since then, I have been an orphan: I have not found, at LR, a personality who has enough political courage to straighten out France and build the necessary Europe of nations and peoples.”
And to conclude: “I find myself in what the RN carries: freedom to undertake, freedom for the French and the European people to take back the levers of power”.
“We are proud to be able to count on her”
The essayist explains that the “challenge” of the European elections is to have the maximum number of deputies to influence each decision, in particular via “thematic alliances”.
In this interview, she raises the question of the “migratory pact”, affirming that “people are opposed to the fact that Europe remains a house without doors, windows or roof”.
She also calls into question the “green pact” by wanting to “put an end to the reign of punitive ecology”.
“Welcome to this great gathering for France,” greeted Jordan Bardella, head of the RN list, whose list comes first in the polls.
“We are proud to be able to count on her, on her background and on her experience,” said Marine Le Pen on X.
“I want to participate in the French recomposition.
The RN is the only party that defends the superior interests of France and the French people.
»@MalikaSorel will be our 2nd on the list.

“It’s naturally grotesque, but after all, political life is not devoid of opportunism.
There are some who regularly go in this direction, they are free to do so,” the president of LR, Éric Ciotti, reacted this Sunday on CNews.
