In the snow: Porsche and BMW collide

Highlights: At least nine accidents occurred on the A95 between Munich and Garmisch-Partenkirchen alone on Saturday and Sunday. Several road users are said to have been using summer tires again. On Sunday morning, a BMW and a Porsche collided on a snowy road near the Schäftlarn motorway junction. A slightly injured female passenger in the Porsche was given medical treatment by the fire department and later taken to a hospital by ambulance. The motorway had to be completely closed for around 45 minutes.

There were several crashes on the partly snowy A95 between Munich and Garmisch-Partenkirchen over the weekend.

First it snows, then it crashes: several accidents occurred on the A95 at the weekend.

A Porsche and a BMW collide near Schäftlarn.

Schäftlarn - The brief onset of winter at the weekend kept the police, fire and rescue services on their toes.

According to police reports, at least nine accidents occurred on the A95 between Munich and Garmisch-Partenkirchen alone on Saturday and Sunday.

Several road users are said to have been using summer tires again.

Passenger injured and taken to hospital

On Sunday morning, a BMW and a Porsche collided on a snowy road near the Schäftlarn motorway junction.

A slightly injured female passenger in the Porsche was given medical treatment by the fire department who was called to the scene and later taken to a hospital by ambulance.

The motorway had to be completely closed in the direction of Garmisch-Partenkirchen for around 45 minutes.

The volunteer fire departments from Hohenschäftlarn, Starnberg, Wangen and Berg were on duty.
