Martín Lousteau
published a message for
Remembrance Day
on his social networks against
"hate speeches"
, a few days after the fight with President Javier Milei over his vote against the mega DNU in the Upper House.
"Today, 48 years after the military coup that plunged Argentina into its darkest era,
the legitimization and normalization of hate speech endangers the democratic pact that we agreed to in 1983
," wrote the radical senator.
In addition, he warned about "the threats" that do not remain only on social networks, "they transcend and have real consequences, fueling intolerance and violence in our society."
Meanwhile, the National Committee of the Radical Civic Union published a document with a message asking to honor the legacy that "democracy is not only freedom but also the search for equality."
The text adds that this March 24 "not only implies repudiating the aberrant and proven facts of the past but also, and mainly, means ruthlessly rejecting any form of political violence in any time and government."
This Sunday, the UCR will also pay tribute to the detained and missing radical leaders and militants.
You will remember on your social networks Mario Abel Amaya, Luis Aredez, Carlos Capitman, Marcial Heras, Roberto Oliver Jurado, Sergio Karakachoff, Mario Muntaner, Juan Carlos Palumbo, Ángel Pisarello, and Daniel Sammartín.

are already seeing that the threats do not stop only at social networks,… pic.twitter.com/QQD7TMamlp

“In times of tensions and social crises we are called to reinforce, deepen and multiply actions that reduce the levels of tension and that contribute to the generation of the agreements that are needed to move the country forward,” concludes the radicalism statement.
