After months of tensions, complaints and movements within the municipal council of Garches with, as a result, the resignation of the remaining elected representatives of the majority causing a partial municipal election in this small town known to be calm in Hauts-de- Seine, the voters decided this Sunday by renewing their confidence in the outgoing mayor, Jeanne Bessentiel (LR).
The one who decided to put her sash back on the line after losing the majority of the executive won 46.20% of the votes.
That is 294 votes ahead of his opponent Yves Ménel (DVD), who obtains 41.4% of the votes in this triangular.
The left union list led by Isabelle Le Madec (PS) obtained 12.4% of the votes cast.
This second round was marked by an increase in participation – 45.4% of those registered – compared to the first.
