Against the background of the increasing reports about the contacts for the deal for the release of the abductees that are taking place these days in Qatar, the members of the families of the abductees continue to struggle and put pressure on the members of the government to act in favor of a new deal that will return their loved ones home.

"I'm always hopeful and very optimistic, but not necessarily because of the reports, I'm quite immune to them already, because I understand that it's not something you can trust to the end," shared Ella, the daughter of Ohad Ben Ami from Kfar Gaza, who was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists to the Gaza Strip .

"It's very difficult for me that we sometimes have to stand in front of the cabinet and beg them to tell us what's going on inside. I don't want to harm information security and my father, but I think we can get more information and I think it's necessary to hold a joint meeting of the cabinet members with the families." .

She added: "I am sure that one hundred percent of all members of the government want to return the abductees to their home, and that there is nothing to be done. They have to pay what is necessary to return them. I can say personally that I feel that the military pressure has greatly decreased, and that it already seems that negotiation is the last resort. We need to go there as soon as possible so that we don't get notified of more abductees who will return, God forbid, as murdered."

"You can't trust the reports."

Raz Ben Ami, Ella's mother, was released as part of the deal for the release of abductees that took place four months ago.

Ella said that her mother's situation without her husband is very difficult even after she returned from captivity.

"She returned after 54 days in captivity, and she is in a difficult mental and health condition because father is not found," said Ben Ami.

"She constantly feels that she knows what they are going through there and that it is much worse now, so she feels very guilty all the time. I accompany her.

"I miss my father in all the little things," she shared. "I need to consult with him and there are so many Many things I want to tell him and share with him, and he is not here.

I keep worrying that I'm missing the chance to bring him back alive.

I'm afraid that the last picture of me that I will remember is the picture that he was kidnapped on October 7.

I'm constantly afraid of it."

Yehuda, the father of armored fighter Corporal Nimrod Cohen, 19 years old from Rehovot, shared that he already has trouble staying optimistic these days. "I'm not optimistic and I don't see any progress," he said painfully. "My son is a soldier.

He is at the end of the list so my feeling is that at this rate, if there is a humanitarian deal, it will take a long time before they reach my son.

The government needs to swallow the bitter pill and get out of thinking about a victory picture.

They should go for a comprehensive deal that will release all the abductees: soldiers, women, men, old people, children, living and dead - a comprehensive deal in which in return they will pay what is necessary." Cohen

said that he does not believe that the release of the abductees is the priority of the members of the government, but only interests "My feeling is that the government is only interested in its survival," he said. "Everyone knows that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is busy with his survival as Prime Minister and as a free man, and that is what is on his mind.

That is why we are very pessimistic, because the feeling is that there is no one in the government who is really committed to the release of the abductees.

Need a comprehensive deal as soon as possible.

My sons die there in the tunnels and every day that he is there and every hour that he is there - it is suffering.

I'll get over it.

I'm just worrying and trying to promote his release.

But he is sitting there by himself and suffering."

He added: "It seems that the IDF is not actually succeeding in bringing any pressure on Hamas towards a deal and progress. Despite the talk that military pressure will lead to a deal and the release of the abductees, this direction is quite frozen. Maybe it happened in the previous round, on the day of the -50 with the women and children, but since then one day out of 100 days has passed and there has been no progress."
