New flight over Polish airspace by a Russian cruise missile this Sunday.
For approximately forty seconds, “Polish airspace was violated by one of the cruise missiles launched last night by the aviation (…) of the Russian Federation”, indicated the command of the Polish army on X.
Poland, a NATO member, raised its alert level this Sunday in the face of bombings close to its territory.
The operational command of the Polish Armed Forces (RSZ) “observes intense activity of long-range aviation of the Russian Federation” overnight, it said on Facebook.
“All necessary procedures to ensure the security of Polish airspace have been activated and the RSZ is constantly monitoring the situation,” he continued, adding that Polish and allied aviation had been “activated”.
In December, Poland, one of kyiv's most loyal allies, denounced the flight over its territory for three minutes by a Russian cruise missile launched towards Ukraine.
