DSDS juror and pop star Beatrice Egli noticed at a young age that life in public doesn't just have its good side.

Switzerland – Beatrice Egli (35) is one of the best-known and most popular pop singers, is adored by fans and admired for her talent.

But the artist learned early on that the spotlight also has its downsides.

At the age of 17, she had to endure a lot of criticism about her body, as she revealed in the “BUNTE Mensch” podcast.

“Exterior completely taken apart”: At 17, Beatrice Egli couldn’t handle it

As Beatrice Egli, who also attracted a lot of attention with a breakdown video, reported that her body has been a public issue for as long as she can remember.

“When I was 17, I had my first performances where my appearance was completely taken apart,” said the pop singer.

At that age she couldn't handle it yet.

“It got under my skin.

That does something to you as a person.”

The fact that Beatrice didn't let herself get down is probably due, among other things, to the fact that her family supported her in moments like this.

She has always loved her the way she is.

Her three brothers in particular encouraged Egli as a woman and helped her develop self-love.

She would have developed a new motto for her life: “I won’t change the world, but I can change myself so that it never affects and hurts me like that again.”

Beatrice Egli: She has already released a song on the subject of “body shaming”.

Beatrice Egli has been dealing with the topic of “body shaming” for years and even released the song “Never mind” about it in 2021.

“Every day just frustration and haters and they beat you up.

Stay strong and stay courageous, you are not alone,” it says, among other things.

At the time, she said in an interview with “Schweizer Illustrierte” that it had been a long process before she was able to rise above the comments about her body.

However, she also admitted that there are still days when she doesn't find her reflection in the mirror ideal, but that too has to be accepted.

When asked which part of her body she liked best, Egli had a clear answer: “My curves.

I love them in all shapes and on all parts of the body.

I'm so happy that I feel good in my body today." Beatrice Egli was recently tricked into "Understand Fun".
