Charlène of Monaco has not attended the Rose Ball in Monte Carlo for years.

When she returned alongside Prince Albert II, she stole the show.

Monte-Carlo – When the traditional and glamorous Rose Ball is coming up in Monte-Carlo, all kinds of celebrities come to the prestigious Salle des Étoiles.

But one person has stayed away from the charity event in recent years: Charlène von Monaco (46).

The wife of Prince Albert II (66) last took part in the festivities in 2014.

Charlène and Albert in disco fever: Prince and Princess united at the Rose Ball

On Saturday evening (March 23rd), Charlène made her comeback, so to speak, in the luxurious Sporting Monte-Carlo, a building complex that, in addition to the ballroom, also houses fine restaurants and a discotheque.

For the first time in ten years, the Princess of Monaco honored the event, which took place under the chairmanship of her sister-in-law Caroline (67), the Princess of Hanover.

At 9:20 p.m., Charlène arrived on the red carpet with Prince Albert and was warmly welcomed with a kiss on the cheek by Princess Caroline of Hanover.

There was no sign of the alleged disputes between the two ladies on the evening of the Rose Ball.

Instead - in keeping with the disco theme of the evening - there was a lot of celebration.

What is the Rose Ball?

The Rose Ball, founded in 1954, is considered one of the most important high-society events of the year in Monaco.

Since 1964, the event has been dedicated to a good cause.

The proceeds, for example from raffles or the sale of exclusive pieces, including paintings and sculptures, benefit the Princesse Grace Foundation.

This works for people in need and especially for disadvantaged children.

Traditionally the festivities take place on a Saturday in March.

The venue is the prestigious Salle des Étoiles at Sporting Monte-Carlo.

At the Rose Ball: Charlène from Monaco impresses in a glittering outfit

Once again there was no getting around Charlène of Monaco in terms of fashion: the princess appeared in a rose and gold glitter jumpsuit with flared trousers detail.

She also wore waterfall earrings that perfectly matched the outfit and a rose bouquet that not only matched Albert's red bow tie perfectly, but also perfectly reflected the Rose Ball theme with the small disco balls attached to it.

The first lady of the dwarf state may also have caused great enthusiasm among a real fashion legend: the French designer Christian Louboutin (61), known for his modern and exclusive shoe designs, was responsible for the artistic design of the evening and was of course there himself.
