Update from March 24th, 7:45 a.m.:

According to Polish information, Russia briefly violated the airspace of NATO member Poland during rocket attacks on western Ukraine on Sunday morning.

On March 24th at 4:23 a.m. there was a violation of Polish airspace by a cruise missile launched that night by a Russian long-range aircraft, wrote the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces on the X platform (formerly Twitter).

The targets of the attacks were cities in western Ukraine.

The object entered Polish airspace near the village of Oserdow and remained there for 39 seconds.

It was observed by military radar systems throughout the flight, it said.

All necessary procedures have been initiated to ensure the safety of Polish airspace.

Among other things, the Polish and allied air force was activated.

Poland is mobilizing its aircraft fleet after the Russian air attack on western Ukraine.

The southeastern part of Poland borders Ukraine.

Ukraine War: Russia attacks Kiev and Lviv region from the air

Update from March 24th, 5:30 a.m

.: Russia carried out air strikes on the Ukrainian capital Kiev and the Lviv region in the west of the country on Sunday night.

“Explosions in the capital.

The air defense works.

Do not leave the shelters,” wrote Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko on the online Telegram service.

The governor of the Lviv region, Maksym Kosytskyi, reported rocket attacks on the district around the city of Stryi, south of Lviv.

For its part, the Polish Armed Forces Operations Command (RSZ) reported that it had observed “intense activity of long-range aircraft from the Russian Federation” during the night, which was linked to the attacks in Ukraine.

“All necessary procedures to ensure the safety of Polish airspace have been activated and the RSZ is constantly monitoring the situation,” the statement continued.

National day of mourning in Russia

First report:

Kiev/Moscow - On a national day of mourning this Sunday, Russia remembers the more than 130 victims of the terrorist attack on a concert hall near Moscow.

The terrorist militia Islamic State had already claimed responsibility for the attack on Saturday night, but Russian President Putin saw a “Ukrainian trace” behind the attack - but without providing any evidence for it.

Kiev denied any involvement in the crime.

Abroad, Serbia and Nicaragua joined the commemoration with their own days of mourning.

At least 133 people were killed in the attack on Friday evening, including three children.

More victims could still be found under rubble.

The four main suspects in the terrorist attack were brought to the Russian capital for questioning on Saturday evening.

As the state agency Tass also reported, the four men were driven in a highly secured motorcade from the Bryansk region in the south of the country, where they were arrested, to the so-called investigative committee.

An application for an arrest warrant should be submitted to court in the coming days.

They all face life imprisonment, Tass said.

Eleven suspects were arrested after the attack.

Zelenskyj: Moscow always blames others

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj categorically rejected Putin's attempts to attribute shared responsibility for the attack to Ukraine with unsubstantiated accusations.

“Of course, after what happened in Moscow yesterday, Putin and the other bastards are just trying to shift the blame to someone else,” Zelensky said in his daily video address on Saturday evening.

The Russian side always uses the same methods.

“And they always blame others.” After the events in the concert hall, “that absolute nobody Putin” remained silent for a day instead of taking care of his Russian citizens.

Rather, Putin was thinking about “how he can bring this to Ukraine.”

Zelensky accused Russia of spreading terror itself.

Russians are coming to Ukraine to burn down cities “and trying to shift the blame to Ukraine.”

They tortured and raped people - and blamed the victims.

“They have brought hundreds of thousands of their own terrorists here, on Ukrainian soil, to fight against us and they don’t care what is happening in their country.”

Russia will pay particular attention to whether and when Patriots built in Japan under a US license would be exported to the USA and then to Ukraine.

If that happens, it will have serious consequences for bilateral Russian-Japanese relations, “including our retaliatory measures,” Nozdrev said.
