A 46-year-old woman from Taranto is under house arrest waiting to be questioned by the judge of preliminary investigations who hit her ex with her car on Friday afternoon at the intersection of via Monfalcone and via Mazzini, and then, according to some testimonies under investigation by investigators, he shouted: "Why didn't I kill you? How come you didn't die?", before fleeing on foot with his 7-year-old daughter.

The news is reported in the local media.

The man, hit while he was on the pavement in front of a bar, was trapped under the car and was freed by some passers-by.

Rescued by 118 and taken to hospital, the victim suffered injuries judged to be healable in 20 days.

After a few hours the woman, together with her lawyer, showed up at the police station and was placed under house arrest on charges of attempted murder, but the public prosecutor Enrico Bruschi, in the request to validate the arrest, asked the judge to apply the measure of precautionary custody in prison.

Tomorrow the 46-year-old will be questioned by investigating judge Benedetto Ruberto.
