Israel Katz in a statement to the media after reprimanding the Brazilian ambassador/Gal Gabish
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs put up an official post today (Sunday) in which it congratulates the minister in the ministry, Israel Katz, for reaching 100 thousand followers on his X account. "Congratulations and congratulations to our foreign minister for reaching 100 thousand followers on -X today," the post reads.
"It turns out that thousands agree with our policy that those who support and encourage terrorism should be condemned," it continued. Finally, they did not forget to add: "Real-time updates on Israel's foreign policy and our war against Hamas, follow."

The post received a lot of criticism online, which many believed was unnecessary and ridiculous, all the more so when it was written by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
So, a few hours after it went up, the post was taken down.
Katz himself commented on the post and wrote about it on his account: "I asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to delete the congratulatory tweet that congratulated me on reaching 100,000 followers on the X network (formerly Twitter). The intention is good and the tool is important in the information system, but the act on the part of those subordinate to me is not True and unnecessary".
