Murder in Ashdod: a woman was shot to death in a residential building/Avi Pharmacist
After the murder incident that took place today (Sunday) in Ashdod, during which the wife of a criminal was shot to death by a fleeing suspect, various officials in the law enforcement system are criticizing the continuation of legal proceedings within the walls of the court and point to this problem as the cause of the incident.
"Because a case has been going on for more than 6 years against her husband, the woman was murdered and four children were left orphaned," claims a senior official in the law enforcement system.
"This case was supposed to end within two years. Due to the length of legal proceedings, the accused are eventually released and do not remain arrested until the end of the proceedings. Because of the length of legal proceedings, innocent people are harmed."
Additional cases have been ongoing for many years in the Tel Aviv District Court.
For example, the case against ten of the defendants in the lynching in Bat Yam against an Arab citizen during Operation Wall Guard, is still ongoing since it started almost three years ago.
The 1311 case, in which the indictment was filed already in 2016 against the head of the criminal organization Moti Hasin and five of his associates for murdering criminals with whom they had a conflict, is still ongoing these days.
After one of the accused - the known criminal Shlomi Niamchik - was released to house arrest, he was arrested again on suspicion of two murders of the head of the crime organization Eli Mosley and the criminal Shimon Rabivo.
Wow!
It was learned that the two sides in the case of the criminal from Ashdod were in advanced talks during the last few days in preparation for a plea agreement that was already approved by the prosecutor's office and would have put him in prison after admitting to a lesser offense, but in the end his defense attorneys chose not to sign it."

The criminal whose wife was murdered today was charged in 2018 along with two others involved in the murder while committing an offense of the criminal Yossi Shariki in Holon.
Today he was supposed to give a defense testimony in the District Court in Tel Aviv.
The shooting happened when he went to court with his family members.
The District Court in Tel Aviv ordered three months ago the release of the criminal to electronic shackles due to the fact that the case has been delayed in court for six years due to the corona disease and the claim of one of the defendants that he has cancer.
Another defendant in the case - Moshe Ben Simhon, was murdered in front of his house by assassins several months after he was also released to electronic shackles by the Supreme Court.
When he returned from a party with his partner to their home in Elad, assassins ambushed them there and ended his life.
The three men were charged with the murder of Yossi Shariki in Holon in 2018. According to the indictment filed by the Tel Aviv District Attorney's Office, the main defendant organized a "red cap" for Shariki when he invited him to his home and threatened him that he must sever contact with another criminal with whom he is in conflict.
During the conversation, the other two defendants arrived on a motorcycle and fired with the intention of hitting the leg of the deceased, but the result was that one of the bullets penetrated his stomach and caused his death.
As a result, the three were charged with murder while committing a crime, extortion by force and conspiracy to commit a crime.
Today the defense evidence phase was supposed to begin and the criminal was supposed to testify in court, but someone tried to eliminate him and prevent that.
