Stefan Etcheverry

will long remember his report at Parc Astérix for the morning show “Bonjour!”

broadcast on TF1 and hosted by Bruce Toussaint.

This Monday, March 25, the journalist was present in the Oise to show behind the scenes of the second French amusement park which will reopen its doors this Saturday, March 30 after the winter break.

On this occasion, he conducted an interview with Delphine Pons, the general director of Parc Astérix, in an incongruous place.

It was, in fact, sitting next to her, in a carriage of the Tonnerre de Zeus attraction that the reporter conducted the interview... while the thrill ride was getting underway.

To resist the shaking, Stefan Etcheverry had even taped the microphone to his hand, as noted by a columnist present on the set alongside Bruce Toussaint.

The journalist speaks as the wagon sets off uphill:

“Thunder of Zeus, one of the most emblematic attractions here (...) why is it so popular?

»

The director then launches into a detailed description of the course, not necessarily reassuring...

“It's what we call a wooden coaster.

You see, the structure is quite impressive, there is wood everywhere.

The climb is quite slow and we hear these little clicking noises which increase the pressure a little.

Then we are only attached by the waist and the attraction is very rapid, you will see, we will have a big descent which will take us to a tunnel.

On the verge of fainting

The journalist, visibly panicked, then retorts:

“Delphine, help me!”

.

The director continues to describe, specifying that there was a small turn, before the ride began its long descent.

He continues:

“This is hell!”

She then encourages him to raise his arms

“No, no!”,

he replies, suddenly lowering his head and tightly gripping the seat in front of him.

The speed of the attraction then cuts the sound.

All that remains is the image with Stefan Etcheverry staring into space and his mouth hanging, seeming on the verge of fainting.

Despite this, he still manages to keep the microphone under the mouth of his interlocutor who, for her part, does not seem disturbed one bit and continues her description of the attraction.

The journalist closes his eyes and regularly lets out little groans of anguish.

He finally managed to get back on the microphone to say

“What a horror, Delphine!”

before the sound is cut off again.

"It's good?

Is it over soon?

It's finish ?"

, he asks pleadingly before realizing that, no, the trick wasn't over.

A reaction which does not fail to make the director of the Park laugh.

“The poor thing is in a bad state…”

On the set, Bruce Toussaint comments, not without laughing, on the images of his partner.

“We can still see the sensations on Stefan's face, he's in a poor state... Unfortunately the sound is no longer playing but the image is perfect

,” he adds teasingly.

The ride finally stops.

“A minute and a half of happiness.

Yes, a very popular emblematic attraction of the park

,” concludes Delphine Pons.

“Hell…”

, says the journalist

“No, you shouldn’t say that!”

, laughs the director.

This hilarious sequence is reminiscent of the film

with Harrison Ford, Rachel Mc Adams and Diane Keaton which tells the story of a morning show.

To boost audiences, they send one of their columnists to do multiple experiences such as taking a first flight in a fighter plane.
