A month and a half ago, the president of the Ris-Orangis Sports Union rugby section (USRO) for more than fifteen years learned that he had to leave the stadium benches for those of the Palais-Bourbon.

He will replace the former Renaissance MP for the 9th constituency of Essonne, Marie Guévenoux, appointed Minister Delegate for Overseas in the government of Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, and for whom he was the deputy.

Since taking official office on March 11, this 60-year-old political novice has stood out from the fray as much as from the crowd.
